Associate Manager, Used Car Lease End Operations

<strong>What To Expect<br></strong>Tesla is seeking an Associate Manager, Used Car Lease End Operations to lead a team accountable for the performance and results of vehicle intake operations for all acquired lease returns across North America. This role requires advanced knowledge of vehicle damage assessment combined with proven leadership capabilities. You will establish goals, drive operational priorities, and ensure seamless customer experiences across the lease end journey. <br><br><strong>What You'll Do<br><br></strong><li>Coach, manage and train a team of Used Vehicle Intake Specialist by establishing clear goals, own performance management conversations, and drive continuous improvement across intake workflows</li><li>Oversee the process of assessing vehicle damage through photos and onsite inspections to determine severity, estimated parts, labor and repair time. Audit quality, uphold inspection standards and ensure accurate documentation in Tesla’s internal systems</li><li>Establish and own team KPI’s. Monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver regular updates to stakeholders</li><li>Serve as the escalation authority for customers and internal teams, ensuring outcomes are accurate, consistent and aligned to Tesla’s policies and customer experience standards</li><li>Identify and resolve systemic issues within the operational workflow. Escalate critical risks or opportunities, lead implementation of process changes, and measure results to sustain continuous improvement</li><li>Establish effective and collaborative communication channels with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external; cultivate and maintain strong partnerships across Tesla to support cross-functional business objectives<br><br><br></li><strong>What You'll Bring<br><br></strong><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. Vehicle appraisal or estimator certification preferred</li><li>3-5 years in auto damage appraisal, body repair or related field. 2+ years leading people in a relevant operations role</li><li>Ability to assess vehicle damage severity, judge repair quality, and determine appropriate rectification for accurate cost assessment</li><li>Demonstrated people management experience with the ability to set standards, hold the team accountable and delivery precise operational results</li><li>Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including structuring data, identifying trends and turning findings into action. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools</li><li>Valid driver’s license.
