This role supports billing operations through claim processing, eligibility verification, account research, reporting, and responsive customer service.<br><br>Location: Baltimore, MD (Remote after training)<br><br>Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)<br><br>Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30AM – 5:00PM<br><br>What We Offer:<br><br><ul><li>Company-provided technology and equipment</li><li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (as low as $13.37/pay)</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Free Virtual Care – Telemedicine</li><li>Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts</li><li>401k with company match</li><li>Corporate Discount Program</li><li>Referral Bonuses</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Pet Insurance</li><li>Legal Insurance</li><li>Make a difference in the lives of others!</li><li>We are growing and that means more opportunities<br><br><br></li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<br><br><ul><li>Accurately process monthly billing, including eligibility checks, pre-bills, billing statements, and facility bill distribution. </li><li>Process claims, resolve rejected claims, and address billing discrepancies, including composite billing and split billing. </li><li>Research and process price matching requests, payer changes, write-offs, returned mail, hospice information, and other billing-related items. </li><li>Maintain billing documentation and queues, including DocuTrack, while ensuring information is accurate and up to date. </li><li>Respond to billing questions from facilities, patients, families, responsible parties, and internal departments with a strong customer service focus. </li><li>Prepare and review assigned daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including short-pay and open-batch reviews. </li><li>Research and respond to third-party audits and assist with resolving complex billing issues as needed. </li><li>Follow company policies and applicable state and federal regulations while participating in process improvement initiatives and other assigned projects. <br><br><br></li></ul>Qualifications:<br><br><ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Minimum of two years of medical billing or collections experience preferred; prior pharmacy experience, particularly long-term care pharmacy billing, is a plus. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, healthcare systems, databases, and data-entry software. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach. </li><li>Comfortable learning and working with technology and multiple computer systems. </li><li>Ability to work independently, stay organized, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. </li><li>Flexibility to pivot throughout the day as priorities, customer needs, and departmental demands change. </li><li>Ability to handle sensitive or stressful situations professionally while maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA requirements. <br><br><br></li></ul>Skills + Abilities:<br><br><ul><li>Ability to sit for extended periods of time during the workday. </li><li>Ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and lift, carry, push, or move objects. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and insurance companies. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a deadline-driven environment. <br><br><br></li></ul>Clarest is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
