Brand Identity Refinement for Premium CPG Startup

SAVA is a Hawaiʻi-based packaged food brand built around real-food convenience, substantial nourishment, and the feeling of freedom that comes from having something satisfying within reach.

I’m looking for a designer with strong branding taste and packaging awareness to refine and elevate SAVA’s existing identity.

I already have a well-developed brand foundation, logo direction, color palette, typography direction, initial packaging concept, and visual references. This first phase is intended to build on that foundation and test creative direction, judgment, and compatibility, not start the brand from scratch.

If this first phase feels aligned, there may be a larger follow-up project for full packaging design and production-ready files for our first SKU.

Scope

1) Refine the existing SAVA wordmark for adjustments to the typography, spacing, proportions, and overall feel. I’d like the logo to feel more custom, intentional, and ownable.

2)Create logo versions that can work across packaging, the website, social media, small-format uses, and potential profile/avatar applications.

3) Review and refine the current color palette with both aesthetics and print production in mind. I’d like to make sure the colors will translate well to CMYK/digital pouch printing, maintain contrast and readability, and work together as a flexible system.

4) Review the current type choices and if needed, recommend any adjustments to make the system feel more premium, cohesive, and functional across packaging and digital use.

5) If it feels appropriate, explore a simple custom small secondary mark that relates to the primary wordmark and can work at small sizes.

6) Review any recurring brand elements, such as badges or small graphic details, and recommend how they should fit within the overall SAVA identity system.

Deliverables

* Refined SAVA wordmark logo

* Logo variations for packaging, digital, and small-format use

* Color palette refinements with print-readiness considerations

* Typography recommendations

* Optional secondary mark exploration

* Recommendations for shared supporting brand elements

* Simple one-page visual direction summary or mini identity sheet

This does not need to be a full brand guide or complete packaging design. I’m looking for a focused identity refinement test that produces tangible visual work. Packaging design may follow as a separate project if the identity refinement phase feels aligned. This job does not include full packaging design.

Design Direction

The brand should feel premium, modern, natural, clear, and distinctive.

I’ll share the full brand materials, current concept, and visual references after confirming fit and confidentiality.

Ideal Designer

You may be a good fit if you:

* Have strong brand identity taste

* Have experience with food, beverage, wellness, CPG, or packaging brands

* Understand how identity needs to function on physical packaging

* Can refine an existing direction instead of starting over

* Can explain your design decisions clearly

* Are comfortable giving creative judgment, not just following instructions

* Have a good eye for print-readiness, color, hierarchy, and readability

Thank you for your interest - I look forward to working with you!
