Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
  • Follow individual care plans to ensure each client’s specific needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or care manager.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a car is a must for this role
  • A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability in all tasks undertaken.

We are able to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this role, depending on the applicant’s suitability and experience. Sponsored team members will be based primarily in Letchworth Garden City, but we are seeking individuals who can be flexible and willing to cover in other service locations if required—for example, providing support at our Wisbech branch. Where travel to another location is needed, accommodation will be provided for the duration of the cover.
