You'll work closely with the Performance Marketing Manager and partner with Maven's brand team, creators, and external agencies to build a rigorous, always-on creative testing engine. As targeting advantages continue to erode and AI reshapes how creative is produced and distributed, this role becomes increasingly critical-differentiation now comes from strategy and message quality, not asset volume alone.This is a remote role open to candidates based in the United States, with a strong preference for those in San Francisco.As a Creative Strategist, you will:Own the creative strategy for paid acquisition, developing and maintaining a weekly and monthly brief cadence across Meta, TikTok, and other paid channels; treat brief quality as the highest-leverage part of the jobTranslate performance data into creative direction by analyzing what's working across hook rate, hold rate, CTR, and CVR, and turning those learnings into actionable briefsOwn creative from brief through execution, working directly with designers, editors, and AI platforms to bring concepts to lifeWrite platform-native UGC scripts and collaborate with creators, talent, and editors to ensure authenticity, narrative clarity, and optimized calls to actionUse AI creative tools (video generation, copy iteration, image tools) to generate and test ad variants at speed, increasing creative velocity and expanding test coverageDevelop a systematic approach to creative testing: hypotheses, angles, hooks, and structured experiments focused on acquisition efficiency and conversionMaintain consistent creative volume to support scaling paid budgets, owning the operational layer (asset library, naming conventions, agency handoffs) that enables speed and scaleBuild and maintain a competitive creative intelligence practice, staying current on what's working in the market, particularly in health and wellnessOwn UGC and influencer creative strategy, including frameworks for sourcing, briefing, scripting, and testing creator content as a performance channelEnsure all creative output meets healthcare advertising guidelines and platform policiesWe're looking for you to bring:4-6 years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or growth, with meaningful time in consumer health, wellness, or DTC subscription businessesA hybrid creative and performance mindset: you understand what makes creative convert-not just what looks good-and can diagnose whether an issue is rooted in hook rate or hold rateProven track record of writing briefs and UGC scripts that have moved metrics; strong POV on direct response formats, hooks, and what earns trust in a health contextHands-on experience with AI creative tools (video generation, copy iteration, synthetic testing), actively using them to move faster and expand testing capacityFluency in key performance metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, LTV:CAC) and experience using data to drive creative decisionsExperience owning the full UGC pipeline: sourcing, scripting, briefing, and testing creator content at scaleComfortable owning both the strategic and operational sides of creative production; you build process where none exists and keep velocity highThe base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $170,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits.
