Job Summary

Colorado Restaurant Association is hiring a Dining Staff Member to support daily restaurant and dining service operations. This role assists guests, supports food and beverage service, maintains clean and organized dining areas, and works with restaurant team members to help provide a welcoming and efficient dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
  • Assist with taking and communicating customer orders
  • Serve food and beverages according to restaurant service standards
  • Assist customers with menu questions and routine service requests
  • Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas
  • Clear and reset tables, trays, utensils, and service stations
  • Restock beverages, napkins, utensils, condiments, and dining supplies
  • Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate service
  • Assist with packaging takeaway and pickup orders when needed
  • Process customer payments using approved POS systems as required
  • Respond to routine customer concerns and communicate complex issues to supervisors
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
  • Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties
  • Support team members during busy service periods

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant, dining, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic math and payment-handling skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask effectively

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in restaurant or dining service operations
  • Familiarity with POS and order-processing systems
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong organization and time management skills
