Duties
- Assist experienced electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial facilities
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment safely and effectively
- Perform conduit bending, electrical wiring, and low voltage system installations following NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment
- Support the installation of electrical systems including lighting, outlets, panels, and control systems in compliance with NEC regulations
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area while adhering to construction site safety standards
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrical work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and conduit benders
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately
- Understanding of electrical safety procedures and adherence to safety protocols on job sites
- Strong interest in developing skills related to electrical wiring, systems installation, and troubleshooting
- Construction site experience is advantageous but not mandatory; candidates must be comfortable working in active construction environments
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and teamwork
