Lecturer in Land-Based Service Engineering - Brooksby College

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Land-based Service Engineering to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College.

The successful candidate would have the ability to deliver across the full range of the department\'s provision. You may currently be working in an engineering setting looking for your first job in education; we welcome full and part time applications, allowing you to share your knowledge while remaining active in industry.

You will have a passion for innovation, bringing new ideas and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.

Working as part of the Land Based Service Engineering team you will be responsible for the delivery and development of our Land based Service Engineering Further Education and Apprenticeship provision.

You will possess an excellent knowledge and understanding of Land Based Service Engineering industry and be able to plan, deliver and review using a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques.

Part of the role will include travelling out to industry to conduct reviews with the apprenticeship students.

Responsibilities

  • Support learners through their programme and the specific qualification aims within
  • Assist workplace mentors with Knowledge, Skill and Behaviour development
  • Liaise with all stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver programme
  • Assess and review students in the workplace
  • To manage learning programmes and act as Course Leader as required
