This role will be responsible for commissioning towers on the Vineyard Wind Farm. Technicians will live on a service vessel and will work rotations of three weeks on and three weeks off. Meals, transportation, lodging, equipment and training are provided by the company.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Diagnose and resolve technical faults in wind turbines from various manufacturers, with particular emphasis on GE technologies.</li><li>Perform troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal turbine performance and availability.</li><li>Commission new wind turbines and support operational readiness activities.</li><li>Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.</li><li>Identify, report, and implement solutions to technical and operational issues.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reliability.</li><li>Prepare accurate technical reports and documentation.</li><li>Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.</li><li>Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards always.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, acquired through professional experience or relevant academic qualifications.</li><li>Ability to analyze technical and operational issues, make sound decisions, and implement effective solutions using available resources.</li><li>Experience with GE turbines is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical faults effectively.</li><li>Good understanding of wind turbine systems and operational processes.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.</li><li>Demonstrates a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards by consistently adhering to company policies and procedures, promoting regulatory compliance, and contributing to the prevention of workplace incidents and environmental risks.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team, contribute to shared goals, and foster a positive, cooperative work environment aligned with MWS values.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>2+ years of experience as a commissioner within the wind industry.</li><li>Valid driver’s license required.</li><li>Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, motor vehicle record check, and physical examination.</li><li>Ability to work in demanding environments, including adverse weather conditions and flexible schedules.</li><li>Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses, helmets, lanyards, and fall protection equipment.</li><li>Ability to climb ladders exceeding 800 feet multiple times per day.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate adequate visual acuity, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and color recognition.</li><li>Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, technical manuals, and work procedures including TWP, WDI, PCAT, FCAT, CCT etc.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What we offer<br><br></strong><ul><li>Medical insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Paid vacation</li><li>Paid holidays</li><li>Parental leave<br><br></li></ul><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement<br><br></strong>Muehlhan Wind Service (MWS) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
