Cybersecurity Analyst – Incident Response

role is pivotal in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating security incidents that could impact our operations, customers, and reputation. Key Responsibilities

    Incident Detection & Analysis:

    Monitor security alerts from SIEM, endpoint detection, and network traffic to identify potential threats.

      Threat Hunting:

      Proactively search for indicators of compromise (IOCs) across the infrastructure using advanced tools and techniques.

        Incident Response:

        Lead the containment, eradication, and recovery processes for security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

          Root Cause Investigation:

          Conduct forensic analysis to determine the origin and scope of incidents, documenting findings for future prevention.

            Collaboration & Communication:

            Work closely with IT, Operations, and Business units to coordinate response efforts and provide clear, actionable updates.

              Documentation & Reporting:

              Maintain detailed incident logs, create post‑mortem reports, and recommend improvements to security controls.

                Tool & Process Improvement:

                Evaluate and implement new security solutions (e.g., PhishAlarm, ServiceNow GRC) to enhance detection and response capabilities.

                  Security Awareness:

                  Participate in training sessions and workshops to educate colleagues on emerging threats and best practices.

                    Compliance & Governance:

                    Ensure all incident handling aligns with industry regulations and workpinnacle’s internal policies.

                      Continuous Learning:

                      Stay current with the latest threat intelligence, vulnerability trends, and cybersecurity frameworks.

                      Essential Qualifications

                      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
                      • Strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat mitigation, and incident response frameworks.
                      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
                      • Experience or familiarity with phishing detection tools such as

                      Proofpoint PhishAlarm

                      is highly desirable.

                      • Exposure to

                      ServiceNow Administration

                      and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) modules is a plus.

                      • Basic understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
                      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
                      • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
                      • Demonstrated teamwork in an agile, collaborative environment.
