<strong>About the Job:  </strong>In this <strong>at-will manager</strong> position, you will manage the multi-functional Logistics Support Section of CSPD (Colorado Springs Police Department). You will also serve as the program account manager, contract administrator, facilities safety, ADA, and fire safety manager. As an employee with the City of Colorado Springs, there<strong> </strong>is<strong> Room to Grow! </strong>See the full potential of growth for this position here:<strong> </strong><a href=""><strong>2026 Salary Schedule</strong></a><strong> </strong></p><br><strong>As the Police Logistics Support Manager, you will:</strong><br><ul style="margin-left: 11px; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Manage projects by researching and drafting contract specifications; serving as contract administrator; reviewing completed work and ensuring warranties; and serve as a liaison to the assigned construction project manager</li><li>Perform strategic planning and budget management by analyzing operational requirements; proposing major policy changes; monitoring reviewing program account; and issuing guidance to supervisors.</li><li>Administer the corporate and commercial card key and physical security programs by maintaining the card key database; submitting and reviewing background requests; running periodic inventory reports; and administering CCTV and electronic card key systems.</li><li>Manage the department’s vehicle fleet. Makes recommendations for purchases, coordinate with city fleet for repairs and purchases. Manages the allocation throughout the department of the vehicle fleet. Manages the fleet budget for the department.</li><li>Oversees the maintenance and repair of the department’s facilities. Manages expenditures of the department’s facility budget.</li></ul><br><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong><br><ul style="margin-left: 6.5px; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Knowledge of design and implementation of major program and/or processes for an entire organization.</li><li>Knowledge of comprehensive and practical knowledge of logistics (facilities, fleet and supply) matters and personnel issues </li><li>Knowledge of supervision and monitoring performance for a regular group of employees, including providing input or hiring/disciplinary actions and work objectives/effectiveness, performance evaluations, and realigning work as needed.</li><li>Ability to exercise independent judgement and have decision-making abilities </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships</li><li>Ability to be highly organized and detailed oriented</li></ul><ul style="margin-left: 6.5px; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study. </li><li>Five years of full-time, professional experience in a related field, including one year of administrator and/or supervisory experience.</li><li>Possess or be able to obtain, a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges</li><li>CJIS - Security Awareness Training within six months of start date</li></ul><br><div style="margin-left: 20px">One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education (OR) one year of academic coursework directly related to this position beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.</div><ul style="margin-left: 6.5px; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Master’s degree.</li><li>Experience in a law enforcement agency.  </li><li>Experience in facilities operations management. </li><li>Experience as a construction project manager.</li></ul><p style="margin: 0"><span style="color: inherit">Please contact CSPD Human Resources at </span><a>cspdhiring@coloradosprings.gov</a><span style="color: inherit"> for any questions about this position. </span></p><undefined><br></undefined><div style="text-align: center"><img src=" patch.jpg" alt="cspd patch.jpg" style="width: 101px" class="fr-fic fr-dii"></div><br><p style="margin: 0 0 10pt"><em><strong>Pre-employment Requirements:</strong></em> The job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of an extensive background investigation, to include a polygraph examination, extensive background check, fingerprinting, criminal history check, and other pre-employment assessments.
