Tableau / Power BI Migration Architect

<br><p>GyanSys is looking for a Tableau / Power BI Migration Architect for its direct client in Santa Clara, CA.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead enterprise-wide migration from Tableau to Microsoft Power BI.</li><li>Define migration strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and best practices.</li><li>Analyze Tableau workbooks, metadata, data sources, calculations, parameters, filters, and dashboards for migration planning.</li><li>Design and implement scalable Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reporting architecture.</li><li>Manage metadata, data lineage, KPI definitions, business glossary, and reporting standards.</li><li>Provide architectural guidance on data modeling, governance, security, and performance optimization.</li><li>Oversee project planning, estimation, resource coordination, risk management, and client communications.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>15+ years in BI, Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Reporting platforms.</li><li>8+ years of Power BI Architecture experience.</li><li>Strong Tableau Architecture and Tableau Server expertise.</li><li>Proven experience leading Tableau-to-Power BI migration programs.</li><li>Strong understanding of Tableau metadata, workbook structures, calculations, LOD expressions, extracts, and Tableau Server administration. [</li><li>Expert knowledge of:</li></ul><p>Power BI Service</p><p>Fabric (preferred)</p><p>DAX</p><p>Power Query</p><p>Dataflows</p><p>Semantic Models</p><p>Row-Level Security (RLS)</p><ul><li>Strong data modeling experience (Star Schema, Dimensional Modeling).</li><li>Experience with Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar analytics ecosystems.</li><li>Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata repositories, and governance frameworks.</li><li>Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Project Management Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Led large-scale BI transformation programs.</li><li>Experience managing cross-functional teams of architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.</li><li>Strong skills in Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning, resource planning, risk management, and executive reporting.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About GyanSys</strong></p><p><br></p><p>GyanSys is a leading global system integrator company supporting enterprise customers worldwide.
