Warehouse Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, materials handling, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. Your proactive approach and adherence to safety protocols will ensure smooth daily workflows and contribute to the overall success of our distribution processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, utilize warehouse management systems, and support a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

  • Stop and report unsafe conditions or questionable freight movement.
  • Perform only authorized physical and WMS transactions within assigned qualifications.
  • Report discrepancies immediately rather than creating unsupported adjustments.
  • Perform bonded work only when appropriately qualified and assigned

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Follow daily assignments, safety requirements, PPE standards and product-handling procedures.
  • Verify product, quantity, condition and location and immediately report discrepancies.
  • Keep physical freight movement and Extensive WMS activity aligned.
  • Do not make unsupported inventory adjustments, location changes or undocumented movements.
  • Forklift assignment: unload/load, put away, pick, stage and perform authorized internal freight movements.
  • Forklift assignment: operate equipment safely, complete inspections and protect customer freight from damage.
  • Floor/WMS assignment: scan and verify receipts, locations, movements, picks, staging and shipments in Extensive.
  • Floor/WMS assignment: coordinate WMS-controlled activity with Forklift-assigned Operators.
  • Record damages, shortages, overages and discrepancies and escalate exceptions.
  • Perform DIX3 bonded work only when Bonded Qualified and following assigned bonded procedures.
  • Ability to do the following: picking up trash, sweeping, snow removal, and dumping trash cans.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating warehouse material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, or crane operation is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics processes.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely with heavy lifting requirements while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
  • Previous warehouse experience with order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and load/unload procedures is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety protocol adherence in a warehouse environment.
  • Technical proficiency with inventory control tools and heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
