YouTube Video Editor Needed for Superhero / Entertainment Channel – Long-Term Collaboration

We are looking for a talented, creative and reliable YouTube Video Editor to work with The Urban Legend, an original superhero and entertainment brand.

We are growing our YouTube channel and are looking for an editor who can help us create engaging, professional and entertaining content on a consistent basis.

This is intended to be a long-term collaboration, so we are looking for someone who is not only a talented editor, but also reliable, communicative, open to feedback and easy to work with.

The Content

Most of the content will be talking-head videos, featuring me, the creator of The Urban Legend, speaking directly to camera.

The editor should know how to make talking-head content engaging through:

Strong pacing and clean cuts

Professional subtitles/captions

B-roll

Music and sound design

Zooms and punch-ins where appropriate

Comic-book artwork

Text and visual elements

Occasional motion graphics and animation

I will provide the filmed footage, The Urban Legend artwork and available brand assets.

We already have an extensive library of professional comic-book artwork, so you will not be expected to create the artwork yourself. However, I want an editor who can use these assets creatively within the videos.

For certain videos, this could include movement between comic panels, zooms, parallax effects, transitions, text animation and other simple motion graphics that help bring the artwork and storytelling to life.

Publishing Schedule

Our goal is approximately:

1 long-form YouTube video per week, typically around 8–12 minutes

3 YouTube Shorts per week

Short-form content may also be adapted for TikTok and Instagram Reels

Types of Videos

Content may include:

My journey creating The Urban Legend

Behind-the-scenes stories

Superhero and comic-book discussions

Character and story content

Interviews and street interviews

Travel content

Pop culture and superhero-related topics

Creator-focused content

The development and future of The Urban Legend

Editing Style / References

Here are two YouTube channels that give a good indication of the type and quality of editing I like:

Panels to Pixels:

These are references rather than something we want to copy exactly.

I particularly like engaging visual storytelling, good pacing, creative use of comic-book imagery, B-roll, text, music, sound design and graphics that keep talking-head content visually interesting.

The goal is to take inspiration from this level and style of editing while developing our own recognizable visual identity for The Urban Legend.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who understands YouTube storytelling and audience retention, not simply someone who can cut footage together.

You should have experience with:

Talking-head / creator-led YouTube videos

Strong storytelling and pacing

YouTube audience retention

Creating engaging hooks and openings

Professional subtitles/captions

B-roll

Music and sound design

Motion graphics

Color correction

Interview editing

YouTube Shorts / TikTok / Instagram Reels

Turning longer footage into engaging short-form content

Experience with entertainment, superheroes, comic books, pop culture or creator-led channels is a plus.

Working Together

Because we are looking for a long-term collaboration, personality and communication are important.

We want someone who is:

Easy and enjoyable to work with

Reliable and consistent

A good communicator

Open to feedback and revisions

Creative and willing to contribute ideas

Able to meet agreed deadlines

Interested in understanding the brand and improving the content over time

Ideally, we want to find an editor who becomes familiar with the style and identity of the channel so that we can develop the content together over time.
