Job Overview

Senior Analyst – American Express – Atlanta, USA – Salary: $20–30 per hour – Bachelor’s Degree required.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst in statistics management, you will lead compliance and governance activities across the organization’s commercial systems. Your daily responsibilities include identifying key data, defining data definitions, classifying statistics, and ensuring data integrity.

  • Lead and develop statistics governance ideas, rules, and packages for stewardship, advocacy, and custodianship of data.
  • Help with oversight and monitoring of databases and execution of strategies to convey statistics below governance (e.g., system of record vs authorized data source definitions, guidelines, record integration, determining record‑keeping roles, documenting and retaining record definitions).
  • Collaborate with data owners and users to implement new repeatable and reliable data management policies that enable strong data governance.
  • Help harmonize key regulations and guidelines (e.g., data quality, data definition, data introduction, data sharing, record usage guidelines) with the processes required to enforce those rules, in collaboration with multi‑functional teams.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and operational excellence to track and uphold multiple privacy and compliance requirements across geographies. Ensure appropriate protection for data integrity, privacy, and regulatory compliance, including assurance for the validity of diverse analytical efforts.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing data in a global environment.
  • Experience with data enterprise requirements and strategies, translating those to records and capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and record management tools (e.g., Collibra) and concepts such as metadata, lineage, data quality, and more.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, engage, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Eagerness to explore, learn, fail, and improve.
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership style focused on teammates and customers.
