Specialty Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

Success in this role requires in-depth knowledge of the product portfolio, relevant disease states, and the competitive landscape, combined with effective consultative selling skills. The Territory Manager strategically leverages data, insights, and available resources to educate healthcare providers and influence appropriate product utilization.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, associated disease states, and competing therapies in the market.</li><li>Engage targeted healthcare professionals using approved promotional materials, clinical data, and strong interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Apply the company sales approach effectively throughout all stages of customer engagement.</li><li>Secure commitment from target physicians to increase appropriate use of products while adhering strictly to compliance standards and company policies.</li><li>Execute effective territory planning by identifying priority accounts and maintaining optimal call frequency to support business goals.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Operations to build, refine, and maintain accurate physician target lists using current data and market insights.</li><li>Leverage approved programs, tools, and resources to grow territory performance and clearly articulate territory strategy and results to the Regional Business Director.</li><li>Create and execute territory business plans as directed, and complete all administrative responsibilities accurately, honestly, and on time.</li><li>Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including other sales representatives, Regional Business Directors, National Account Directors, Medical Science Liaisons, and headquarters teams.</li><li>Comply fully with all promotional regulations, sample accountability requirements (if applicable), and the company Code of Conduct regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Core Competencies</p><ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Personal Performance Expectations</p><ul><li>Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a high level of personal accountability.</li><li>Takes initiative and ownership of results.</li><li>Actively supports and promotes the company's values and culture.</li><li>Consistently acts with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.</li><li>Exhibits sound judgment and effective decision-making.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Management Responsibilities</p><ul><li>This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Physical Requirements and Work Conditions</p><p>The physical requirements described are representative of those necessary to perform the essential duties of the role.
