As a UW Specialist Sr, Construction, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risks associated with construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in underwriting and construction to make a meaningful impact on our business. If you are a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong understanding of construction risks, we encourage you to apply for this position. Assess and evaluate risks associated with construction projects to determine appropriate insurance coverage and pricing. Utilize underwriting guidelines and company policies to make informed decisions on risk acceptance and mitigation strategies. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for risk assessment. Conduct thorough research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to construction risks. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers to provide exceptional customer service and ensure retention of business. Prepare and present comprehensive underwriting reports and recommendations to senior management. Work closely with claims teams to provide support in the event of a claim related to a construction project. Conduct periodic reviews and audits of existing policies to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions. Train and mentor junior underwriters on underwriting best practices and company guidelines.
